My son aged 32 has recently talked with me about a similar situation in his workplace which has got to him.
With your consent I would like to copy your projections on the need for a mirror and give it to him.
He has been along to an open house here in Australia but he has not taken the step to commit to the weekend.I will be having a meal with him on Thursday.
It is great to be able to converse with you again -I remember the work you did on staff in march05 when I was in your great country,

Yes... I agree, taking people's opinions personally will usually result in pain. This can even be the case with apparently "positive" comments, for a number of reasons. In my experience, the key here is to take nothing personally; remain aware and alert to the moment; and remain humble enough to "look into the mirror" that is presented by "the world around me" in every moment.
You are welcome to print out this article and give a copy to your son.
